What do you get when you mix modern, classic, and bespoke elements within an English Garden setting? You get Emily & Jason’s gorgeous fête! Hats off to one of Detroit’s best wedding & event planners, Carlyn Roth of The Bash Events. Carlyn and her team of vendors created one of the most luxurious yet inviting designs I’ve seen in a long time. This is also true of our bride’s aesthetic; off the runway, couture Vera Wang gown in a head-turning shade of vintage blush and classic, fun Chanel shoes with a black bowtie accent.
I could go on and on about the amazing details, but one thing I’d love to briefly share is what happens when your plans need to pivot quickly. Emily & Jason were ready to celebrate from start to finish in the open and airy grounds of Cranbrook House & Gardens, but mother nature had other plans – rain. While it wasn’t what anyone envisioned, it didn’t ruin a thing. We were all ready to step up and make things happen for our couple. While we tracked the weather, Carlyn & her team switched the cocktail hour before the ceremony to give the last bit of rain a chance to move out. Forte Belanger was ready with hors d’oeuvres & champagne. I think every event should do it that way. What’s more chic than champagne at an outdoor ceremony? Well, the rest is history and the wedding went on as if it was always supposed to happen that way. Perfection!
