The Wedding of

Morgan & Steven

Washington D.C. | September 16th

For some, traveling is a once in a lifetime event while others have to do it for their careers. But when your journey as a couple has you traveling from one part of the country to the other…you keep the tradition going! Morgan & Steven met in Ann Arbor at The University of Michigan where they began dating and as their relationship continued, so did their travels. Deciding to have their wedding at the former Newseum in the nation’s capital seemed natural. It was centrally located for all of their friends & family to easily get there and it provided the perfect backdrop to celebrate in their classic, American style. Speaking of style, the brides dress was a couture gown by fabulous designer Mark Zunino.

The scope of the transformation of the venue was no easy feat! It took only the best to accomplish it. The couple called in the team of Engaging Affairs to pull together some of the area’s best with lead planning by Christine Godsey of CG & Co Events. The venue was an active museum and the reception was to be held in the lobby, while the ceremony on the rooftop with sprawling views of the capitol building. When the design & final execution came together it seemed like it was always meant to be. World-class cuisine was provided by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck and an impressive dessert installation was created by Buttercream Bakeshop. The result was an affair to remember and one that I won’t ever forget.
